Example GUIs-on-device from tiny microcontrollers

Can you believe that a tiny 8-bit microcontroller has the GUI on it and the user does not have to deal with installing, finding, downloading, choosing the correct device-specific GUI software anymore ?

This page shows a few real examples of tiny microcontroller-based hardware which implements the AJAXup GUI-on-device technology.

To see the GUI, just connect the device to the PC, start the (generic, same-for-all) middleware, and wait for a moment until the user interface comes up.  No further steps needed.  Your end users will never get tired of "looking for the GUI software" anymore !

GUI examples of eval kits: ATMega32Eval (left), ZigBeeEval (middle), SmartCardEval (right)

These GUIs are delivered from tiny microcontrollers:  ATMega32L with 8-bit, 32-kB and LEDs / buttons as peripherals (left), ZigBee single-chip module (90 kB) as an end device with sensors but no additional microcontroller (middle) and a smart card microcontroller (8-bit, 72 kB) with a demo sports watch GUI (right).
